Falling temperatures increase the chances of your pipes freezing. Below is information that will hopefully stop this from happening before it becomes a major problem! Feel free to forward this information onto your tenants.
-Temporarily turn on your cold and warm water in every sink so that there is a slow drip coming from both the hot and cold side. The water does not have to be running, it only needs to be a slow drip that is enough to keep the water moving throughout the water lines.
-Leave all bathroom doors open so that warm air can circulate. If there are heat vents in the bathroom make sure that they are open.

Efficiently Writing Your Lease Dates
Campus area landlords know that the move-in and move-out season for OSU off-campus housing can be a hectic and expensive time for property owners.
However, good planning can alleviate some of the expense and frustration of this busy time, and good planning starts with forward thinking.
As you start to market and lease your homes for the upcoming school year, consider writing your leases with move-in dates of August 15 (or later) through July 31. This will allow you (or us) ample time to inspect, improve and clean the unit as needed.
